Auction Services
Without doubt the most important aspect of any fundraising event is the auction.  Champions Of Sport attend many auctions throughout  the year, so we know exactly what works and what doesn't.  We have developed a full auction service which takes away the headache of organising your own auction, and missing opportunities  to raise as much money as possible.

The key elements to our auction service are listed below:

Champions of Sport (COS) are able to provide a complete and quite unique service that covers every aspect of the fundraising at auction thus ensuring that the income from each event is maximised to the full.

The service undertaken includes initial meetings in which we can offer the client advice with regard to the auction content thus ensuring that a balance of product ensues.  This balance proves critical in maximising income.

COS also offers it’s own framing and presentation service for items collected by the client, again ensuring a very desirable presentation for each auction item to bring maximum results.  Because we are able to offer an ‘in house’ framing service, our prices will be very competitive and the standard of presentation simply superb!

COS will deliver all the auction items to the event and set up the pre-auction display for both the main and silent auctions.

COS will also produce auction lists covering both auctions (if relevant) to go on each table.

Each item will have its own designated promissory note, which will be signed by the buyer.  Each promissory note is a legally binding document and payment is usually made either by credit card or cheque on the night.

COS will be responsible for ensuring that all of the promissory notes are completed properly and can arrange where required the collection of all monies pledged from the auctions (both main & silent)

We will present within 48 hours a complete summary of all auction details and will pay to the client within 7 working days all funds collected at auction less a 5% service fee and deduction for the pre agreed costs for framing, which is the sole charge made by COS for the auction services.  

This 5% service fee also includes travelling costs unless otherwise agreed.

COS can also ensure prompt and safe delivery of all pieces sold at auction if the winning bidder does not wish to take the item away with them on the night. The bidder will be charged for this service.

So as to enable the client to maximise income form the auctions, COS will also make available to the client it’s full range of sports memorabilia on a sale or return basis at pre auction negotiated rates. Payment will not fall due until the item is paid for by the wining bidder.

An invoice for all of the client’s own items that have been framed by COS will be presented prior to the auction, thus allowing accurate reserve prices to be levied.  

Payment for framing will fall due to COS at the settlement of the auction’s balance sheet.

COS can also provide an auctioneer for every event.  The fee will vary depending on what other duties are required (MC, comedian etc) but will all be agreed prior to the event.
